Attorney Patricia Paul is a panel speaker on "Women in Leadership" at the Phillip Taro Theatre, Skagit Valley College, Mount Vernon, Washington on Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:30 pm.  The film Miss Representation will be viewed in conjunction with this panel of speakers.  On the panel:  Mayor Jill Bourdreau (Mount Vernon, WA mayor), Washington State Representative Kristine Lytton, Claudia Avendano Palomera (MVHS grad, MSW Board of Commnity Action), Felisha Palomera (MVHS 2012 grad, attending UW, considering law), and Patricia Paul (lawyer, Alaska Native Inupiat).

Miss Representation exposes how mainsteam media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America.  It challenges the media's limited and often disparaging portrayals of women and girls, which make it difficult for women to achieve leadership positions and for the average woman to feel powerful herself.

Attorney Patricia Paul has accepted an invitation to participate as a Brown Bag Legal Series speaker on Indian Wills for the Urban Indian Legal Clinic at the Chief Seattle Club located in Pioneer Square, Seattle in late October.
